Katelyn and Joseph, City Hall & Race Street Pier & City Rooftop Deck
When Katelyn, Joseph, I were discussing the look of their engagement session, it was clear how much they loved this city. We decided to start the session at the Philadelphia City Hall because who doesn’t want an iconic castle built by our founders in their photos?
We headed through Philly’s City Hall over to Dilworth Park but not without getting at least one photo of course.
It was a beautiful late spring evening and people were leaving work to head home for the day.
Then we hitched a ride over to Race Street Pier. Well, kinda. The driver accidentally went over the Ben Franklin Bridge because his GPS literally had him drove over the spot where the pier is headed. Once we were able to navigate out of Camden with a few U turns, we were golden.
If you have not walked the Race Street Pier around sunset I highly recommend giving it a whirl. It can be quite beautiful (and romantic).
The sun began to set pretty quickly so we took advantage of the changing light.
When Katelyn and Joseph told me they have access to a rooftop city view it was definitely going to be in their engagement photos.
The Philadelphia skyline at night is gorgeous.
The bridge isn’t so bad either.
But this photo makes this my little romantic heart so so happy.
